Skin Has a Sex: Hormones Dictate How the Epidermis Renews and How Quickly Wounds Heal

A study published in Nature (October 14, 2026) shows, in mice, that skin stem cells behave differently in females and males, under the control of sex hormones, and wounds heal faster in females.
